Some questions

Recommended Posts

My setup is currently Linxdot (915Mhz) + 10m/32ft lmr400 +8dbi

So what should be my inputs here in the app?

https://www.timesmicrowave.com/Calculator?Product=LMR-400&RunLength=32.8&Frequency=915

My 10m cable have 1.5 db loss, so I can conclude 8dbi - 1.5 = 6.5dbi on the app?

Next is the Height,

Should I write here the distance of Ground to the distance of my Antenna?

and NOT the distance of cable NOR distance of sea level to the antenna?

Is this correct?

Thanks!

Yes, according to the calculations, you should put 6.5dBi antenna. The height should be from the ground up to your antenna.

  • 4 weeks later...

I have the same cable about 8m length and a 9dbi antenna

Ive set in app 9m height and 9dbi antenna.I have not reduced the losses by approximately 1 db from the cable and everything is ok, the miner works very very good.

I'm very satisfied with the setup I chose, it's been 15 days since I started it and I've done 2.2 hnt.
For the area where the miner is located, I do enough. It is not a location with a high density of miners, but I have some hills and forests that do not let me reach a good location, which is well populated with miners.
In the end, my opinion is that it is not very relevant if you calculate the cable losses or not when you set the data in the app.
